We made a delicious version of this typical Italian bread for this season, enjoy it with your loved ones, they will love the soft flavor of maple syrup and the fluffy and tender texture of the bread.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a tall panettone mold.
Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and water.
Mix the flour with the salt and brown sugar. Add the dissolved yeast and incorporate the eggs one by one, then add the egg yolks, maple syrup, and butter.
Incorporate the dried fruit and knead for 20 minutes until you obtain a smooth and elastic dough. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 2 hours or until it doubles in size.
Place the dough in the mold and make a cross on top, then brush with melted butter.
