A very romantic recipe, it’s not a grand dinner or a chocolate dessert, but this dessert is very delicious; it’s something new as a dessert to end a super romantic dinner. Try this custard with meringue.
Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Pour the whites into a bowl, add 50g of sugar, and beat vigorously until you achieve a very stiff meringue.
Next, put the milk in a saucepan over heat, add the remaining sugar and lemon zest, and when it boils, lower the heat and keep it on the minimum heat so it doesn't boil.
Take spoonfuls of meringue and cook them in the milk, stirring occasionally, until the surface hardens slightly. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on a cloth to drain.
Dissolve the cornstarch and yolks in a bit of cold milk. Incorporate them into the milk, mix, and cook over low heat, stirring continuously, until custard forms, but be careful not to let it boil.
Remove from heat and let them cool. Pour the custard into heart-shaped molds or a very nice design for the occasion, then place the meringues on top and sprinkle with cinnamon.
