Custard with Meringue

A very romantic recipe, it is not a great dinner or a dessert with chocolate, but this dessert is very rich, to begin with it is something new as a dessert to finish a super romantic dinner. Try these custard with meringue.

  • 4 eggs
  • 175 grams sugar
  • 750 milliliters cow's milk
  • 1 piece lime peels
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • cinnamon powder

  • Separate egg yolks from egg whites. Pour the whites into a bowl, add 50g. of sugar and gown energetically, until getting a very hard meringue.
  • Then put the milk in a pan over a fire, add the remaining sugar and the lemon peel and when it boils, lower the heat and keep it with the minimum heat so that it does not boil.
  • Take spoonfuls of meringue and cook it in the milk, turning it from time to time, until the surface hardens slightly. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on a cloth to drain.
  • Dilute cornstarch and yolks in a little cold milk. Add them to the milk, mix and simmer, stirring constantly, until the custard forms, but be careful not to boil.
  • Remove from heat and let cool. Pour the custard into some heart shaped cakes or a very nice design for the occasion and then put the meringues on them and sprinkle with cinnamon.
