Mini Puff Pastry Bites

Treat yourself this afternoon and prepare these delicious and crispy puff pastry bites filled with cajeta, hazelnut cream, and jam for a great variety. They are ready in just 25 minutes and make the perfect dessert.

  • 500 grams puff pastry
  • 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cups hazelnut chocolate cream
  • 1/4 cups cajeta
  • 1/4 cups jam, red fruits
  • 1/4 cups icing sugar

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C
  • Sprinkle some flour on the table and roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 1 cm. Cut the bites with a cutter (they should be pairs); use a round cutter on one of the pairs to create a hole in the center.
  • Beat the egg yolks with a fork. Use your fingertip to apply egg yolk around one of the pairs and stick the one with the hole on top.
  • Place the pieces on a baking tray and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove and let cool.
  • Fill with hazelnut cream, cajeta, and jam. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
