Mousse Cake

Delicious dessert with a crunchy base of cookies and a very fluffy chocolate mousse on top.

  • 200 grams chocolate cookies, Chocolinas or Peanuts
  • 100 grams unsalted butter , melted
  • 1 box instant chocolate mousse
  • 1 liter cow's milk
  • 50 grams cherry
  • 100 grams almonds
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • Crush the cookies with a rolling pin until they form a cookie flour.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Place the crushed cookies in a bowl and add the melted butter, then mix. If it doesn't form a dough, add a splash of milk.
  • With that dough, cover the entire base and the sides of a 28 cm diameter tart pan.
  • Pour the contents of the mousse box into a container and gradually add the liter of milk, beating with a mixer for 10 minutes. You can also prepare the mousse homemade with some of the exquisite mousse recipes from kiwilimón.
  • Spread the mousse over the cookie base and gently place the cherries and almonds on top, decorating with fun designs.
  • Finally: Sprinkle with cocoa powder and put it in the freezer for a long time, then take it out 30 minutes before serving to enjoy the creaminess of the mousse when eating it and to ensure it’s not frozen.
