With a fork, mash the banana to make a puree. Mix with the egg, sugar, vanilla, and milk. Add to the butter and beat until well combined.
In another bowl, mix all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually integrate into the banana mixture. Do not overmix, just until all ingredients are well combined.
Add the chocolate chips and pour the mixture into muffin molds with a liner.
Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
