Cheese and Bacon Muffins

These muffins with melted cheese and crispy bacon are the perfect combination for a snack or as a starter for a main dish. They are delicious, and eating them fresh out of the oven is a delight!

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cups butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoons garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoons onion, powder
  • 100 grams bacon, cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

  • In a skillet, fry the bacon until golden. Use a paper towel to remove excess fat. Set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 200ºC.
  • In a deep bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and baking powder.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients: milk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredient mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the grated cheese.
  • Finally, gently fold in the bacon.
  • Grease a mold for 6 muffins.
  • Pour the mixture into each mold until it is filled 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
