Napolitano Flan with Cream Cheese

This flan is very delicious for when you want to break your diet or to treat yourself a little; plus, it's super easy to prepare.

  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 packages cream cheese
  • 1 dash vanilla essence
  • 7 tablespoons sugar, for the caramel

  • Put the sugar in a saucepan or in the same container where the flan will be made and heat it until it melts to a dark brown color (this is the caramel for the base of the flan). (You can use cajeta instead of sugar; this is optional)
  • Put all the other ingredients in the blender until completely mixed.
  • Pour the blender mixture into the container or flan mold with the caramel. Cover and cook in a water bath for about 35 minutes.
  • To know if it's ready, insert a toothpick or utensil, and if it comes out clean, it's done.
  • Let it cool, unmold, and refrigerate for at least 5 hours for a firm consistency and to be completely cold. Enjoy!
