The result of this Nut Rolls recipe is delicious rolls with a delicate nutty flavor, best enjoyed almost fresh out of the oven; if you like, you can serve them with a scoop of ice cream.

1 cup sugar
4 cups water
1 lime, juice and zest
3 tablespoons honey
1 kilo puff pastry
300 grams butter
500 grams walnuts, chopped

Mix the sugar and water.
Add the lemon juice and zest.
Add the honey and dissolve it.
Boil until thickened, set aside.
Roll out the dough and brush it with melted butter, sprinkle the chopped nuts.
Roll and cut the rolls, place them on a baking tray and drizzle them with the remaining butter.
Bake at 160º C for 30 to 40 minutes until golden.
Let them cool a bit and drizzle with the syrup, allowing the excess to drain off.
