Nut Rolls

The result of this Nut Rolls recipe is delicious rolls with a delicate nutty flavor, best enjoyed almost fresh out of the oven; if you like, you can serve them with a scoop of ice cream.

  • 1 kilo puff pastry

  • Mix the sugar and water.
  • Add the lemon juice and zest.
  • Add the honey and dissolve it.
  • Boil until thickened, set aside.
  • Roll out the dough and brush it with melted butter, sprinkle the chopped nuts.
  • Roll and cut the rolls, place them on a baking tray and drizzle them with the remaining butter.
  • Bake at 160º C for 30 to 40 minutes until golden.
  • Let them cool a bit and drizzle with the syrup, allowing the excess to drain off.
