  • 1 kilo wheat flour
  • 600 grams sugar
  • 600 grams lard, Inca
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 teaspoons orange essence

  • Make a well with the flour and powdered artificial orange coloring.
  • Incorporate the sugar, shortening, and eggs in the center and cream them.
  • Gently mix with the flour and the food coloring.
  • Add the teaspoon of vanilla and the two teaspoons of orange essence, continue beating until you achieve a homogeneous dough.
  • Dust flour on the table and spread the flour with a rolling pin.
  • Shape the polvorones with a circular cookie cutter.
  • Grease and flour the baking sheet and place the polvorones in a row.
  • Bake at 150ºC for 30 minutes.
