Orange Truffles

This chocolate truffle recipe is very rich and has a special touch with orange and Grand Marnier liqueur.

  • 200 grams semisweet chocolate
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur, Grand Marnier
  • 70 milliliters clotted cream
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • In a small pot over low heat, mix the butter and cream and cook until it thickens to the boiling point.
  • Remove the butter from the heat and add the chocolate. With a wooden spoon, mix until the chocolate is melted.
  • Add the egg yolk, orange zest, and Grand Marnier.
  • Let the mixture cool and thicken. (Approximately 15 minutes).
  • With your hands, make about 40 small balls. Roll each ball in cocoa powder and place them on wax paper.
