Orange truffles

This recipe for chocolate truffles is very rich and has a special touch with orange and Grand Marnier liquor.

  • 200 grams semisweet chocolate
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur, Grand Marnier
  • 70 milliliters clotted cream
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, mix butter and cream and cook until it is about to boil.
  • Remove the butter from the heat and add the chocolate. With a wooden spoon, mix until the chocolate is dissolved.
  • Add egg yolk, orange peel rind and Grand Marnier.
  • Let the mixture wrap and thicken. (Approximately 15 minutes).
  • With your hands make approximately 40 balls. Pass each pellet through the cocoa powder and put them on waxed paper.
