  • 8 grams Splenda, Granulated equivalent to 3 tablespoons
  • 20 grams sugar
  • 175 grams butter
  • 5 grams salt
  • 6 eggs
  • 500 grams flour
  • 20 grams yeast
  • 50 milliliters orange blossom water
  • water, or milk
  • Splenda, Granulated, enough to place on top of the bread (decoration)
  • 1 egg, (decoration)

  • Mix the eggs, salt, and yeast. Immediately add 70% of the flour. If the dough is hard, add milk or water (as needed), knead for a few minutes until the dough becomes elastic.
  • Add the butter gradually, once incorporated, add the sugar and SPLENDA® Granulated in the same way until a firm and elastic dough is obtained. Let it ferment until it triples in volume.
  • Refrigerate for one hour.
  • Preparation decoration: Shape the Day of the Dead bread by decorating it with traditional bone shapes.
  • Let it ferment until it doubles in volume.
  • Brush with the slightly beaten egg. Sprinkle with SPLENDA® Granulated.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180°C.
