Peanut Marzipan

  • 2 cups toasted peanuts
  • 1/3 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cups icing sugar

  • Place the peanuts in a processor and blend to obtain a fine powder.
  • Heat the water over medium heat, add the sugar, and cook on low heat until a syrup forms.
  • Add the cream of tartar, peanut powder, vanilla essence, mix, and incorporate the egg white. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Place the mixture in a bowl and add the powdered sugar. Mix until you obtain a dough.
  • On a board with wax paper, place the mixture and flatten it using a rolling pin.
  • With a small ring, cut out circles and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Remove the excess marzipan.
  • Serve and enjoy.
