Refrigerate for 20 minutes and preheat the oven for 15 minutes at 180°C.
With a fork, poke the base of the pie so it doesn't puff up, and place a weight, which is parchment paper over the base and rice or beans to weigh it down.
Bake the base for 10 to 15 minutes.
