Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
In a bowl, add the vanilla cake mix, then the water, oil, and three eggs.
Beat all the ingredients with the help of a mixer on low speed until well combined.
Add the almond powder and mix again until combined.
Pour the batter into a mold lined with parchment paper and place the sliced almonds on top for decoration.
Bake for 50 minutes.
