Chocolate and Banana Cake

This dessert is somewhat difficult, but when you prepare and finish it, it turns out very delicious; decorating with glaze makes it delightful.

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

  • Peel the bananas, slice them, and mash them; set aside.
  • Beat the butter with the sugar in a bowl until the mixture becomes creamy. Add the eggs one by one, the honey, and the banana puree.
  • Sift the cocoa together with the flour and add it to the bowl where you beat the butter.
  • Place the mixture in a previously greased and floured loaf pan.
  • Bake at 180ºC for 40 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • For the glaze, mix 100 milliliters of warm water with 50 grams of powdered sugar or as needed until you obtain a thick liquid. You can add a few drops of lemon. Mix well and set aside.
  • Pour the glaze over the cake you prepared earlier.
  • Refrigerate the cake.
