Hazelnut Cake

There’s nothing better than starting or ending the day with a delicious and soft cake; it’s so chocolaty with a delicate touch of hazelnut, topped with creamy frosting and pieces of hazelnut, it’s spectacular.

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 1/2 cups hazelnut chocolate cream
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1 cup icing sugar, for the frosting
  • 2 tablespoons hazelnut chocolate cream, for the frosting
  • 1/4 cups cow's milk, for the frosting
  • hazelnuts, chopped for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • In a bowl mix the dry ingredients and sift them using a strainer. Set aside.
  • Cream the butter with the hazelnut cream in the mixer, add the eggs one by one, the vanilla extract, the milk, alternating with the dry ingredients.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased and floured bundt pan, bake for 50 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, cool.
  • In a bowl mix the ingredients for the hazelnut cream frosting, drizzle the cake with the frosting and decorate with chopped hazelnuts. Let it dry.
  • Serve and accompany with cold milk.
