Pear Bread with Granola

  • 1/2 cups Kellogg’S® granola ancestral grains; sunflower seeds, amaranth and raisins
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 30 grams unsalted butter, (1/3 bar)
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cups coconut oil
  • 2/3 cups cow's milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 pears, washed

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • For the topping; Mix Kellogg’s® Ancient Grains Granola; sunflower seeds, amaranth, and raisins with the flour, brown sugar, chopped nuts, salt, and unsalted butter. Mix until you have a sandy dough.
  • For the bread; Combine Kellogg’s® Ancient Grains Granola; sunflower seeds, amaranth, and raisins along with the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the sugars with the egg. Add the vanilla, melted coconut oil, milk, and vanilla. Pour it all into the mixture of Kellogg’s® Ancient Grains Granola; sunflower seeds, amaranth, and raisins.
  • Cut the pear into small cubes and gently fold them into the batter. Grease a loaf pan and pour in the mixture. Add the topping on top, making sure to cover the entire surface.
  • Bake at 180°C for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes, then unmold and serve.
