Preheat the oven to 165 degrees C for a metal mold or 177 for a glass mold.
In a bowl, combine the butter, sugar, hot water, and almond extract; beat until the butter is soft; add the eggs and continue beating until the mixture is frothy.
Gradually add the flour mixed with baking powder and continue beating until the batter is uniform.
Gently fold in the sliced berries and almonds by hand. Pour into a greased mold.
For the jam, mash 1/2 cup of berries and mix with lemon juice and sugar. Cover the mixture with the jam.
Bake for 50 minutes. 5 minutes before it's done, insert a toothpick to check if it is cooked; if the toothpick comes out clean, it’s ready, if it comes out stained with batter, let it bake longer.
Immediately remove from the mold and let it cool before serving.
