Pumpkin Flan

Flan is one of our favorite desserts, for its delicate, smooth, and rich consistency. Prepare this different version of flan, with the unmatched autumn flavor that only pumpkin can give you, along with a touch of spices and the creaminess of cream cheese, which makes it even more special.

  • 1 cup cajeta
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1/2 cups winter squash, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cups pumpkin purée
  • 190 grams cream cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg powder
  • whipped cream, for decoration
  • 1/4 cups pecans, chopped, for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C.
  • Pour the cajeta into a flan mold and spread it over the entire surface. Set aside.
  • For the flan, blend the evaporated milk with the condensed milk, pumpkin, puree, cheese, eggs, and spices.
  • Pour the previous mixture over the cajeta carefully, bake for 45 minutes in a water bath. Let cool and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  • Unmold and decorate with whipped cream and walnuts.
