Pumpkin Pie with Spices

  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 3 cups winter squash, cooked and mashed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 egg yolks, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cups butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons ginger
  • 1 pinch clove
  • 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 pie crust, pre-baked
  • 1 cup low-fat whipped cream, fry

  • Preheat the oven to medium-high temperature. Mix the cream cheese by hand until smooth. Add the pumpkin puree and stir until combined. Add the sugar, salt, and stir.
  • Add the egg yolks, the egg, the cream, and the melted butter and stir until everything is incorporated. Finally, add the vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and nutmeg. Beat until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Pour the filling mixture into the pre-baked crust and bake the pie for 50 minutes or until the center is firm.
  • Whip the whipped cream and add the sugar and cinnamon. Whip until the cream is stiff.
