  • Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  • For the cake, cream the butter with the sugar, add the eggs one by one, the vanilla, add the sifted powders, and the milk. Beat until you obtain a smooth mixture and divide into 6 equal parts.
  • Paint each of the mixtures with vegetable dyes according to the colors of the rainbow.
  • Grease and flour a baking dish of approximately 3.8 L suitable for the oven and pour each of the cake mixtures into the center, being careful not to mix them (they will spread out on their own each time you add the next color). Bake for 35 minutes or until cooked, remove from the oven and cool.
  • For the frosting, beat the cream cheese with the whipping cream and powdered sugar until you obtain a consistent frosting. Divide into 7 equal parts and color with the dyes, reserving one white to simulate the clouds. Place each mixture in a pastry bag with your preferred tip and refrigerate.
  • Once the cake is cool, decorate by forming diagonal lines with the frosting starting with green, then blue, purple, pink, orange, and yellow. Repeat to fill the baking dish completely, and when it is fully covered, smooth with a spatula, being careful not to mix the colors. Finish with the white frosting forming clouds around. Refrigerate until serving.
