It is a typical dessert of my country, commonly known as Arroz Con Leche, however the northerners we call Arroz con Dulce, I hope you like the Dominican style.
Put in a saucepan to boil over medium heat coconut milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet clove powder, lemon streak and rice. Move constantly.
When it breaks boil, add cow's milk and continue moving. Leave to cook over medium heat
Add the evaporated milk and stir, add the raisins (optional) and stir. Lower the heat and let cook for 15 minutes or until it is a bit dry, depending on the taste of each person.
Remove from heat, let cool and serve in glasses or cups. You can serve warm or cold, cut cinnamon sticks to decorate.
