Roasted Figs with Red Wine Sauce

12 figs, large
3/4 cups sugar
3/4 cups red wine
4 tablespoons butter
vanilla ice cream

In a pot, put the sugar, red wine, and butter.
Cut the figs. Remove the stem and cut them into quarters.
Put the figs with the wine and sugar in the pot for 8 minutes over medium heat.
Remove the figs and place them in the oven at 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes until they are slightly cooked and the wine becomes like honey.
Serve them hot on a slightly deep plate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
