Roasted Plums with Orange, Vanilla, and Pistachios

For dinner, this sweet option of roasted plums with a piloncillo honey flavored with star anise, cinnamon, and clove is ideal for a nutritious and flavorful dessert. Plus, it’s very easy since you just have to mix the ingredients and bake them, give it a try.

  • 1/2 cups piloncillo, chopped, for the honey
  • 1/3 cups water, for the honey
  • 2 anise, star anise, for the honey
  • 1/2 cinnamon sticks, for the honey
  • 1/8 teaspoons clove powder, for the honey
  • 4 plums, cut in half, pitted
  • 1/4 cups shredded coconut

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • Heat a small pot over high heat with the piloncillo and water, add the star anise, the cinnamon stick, and the ground clove, reduce the mixture until it forms a honey. Set aside.
  • In a baking dish, add the plums and drizzle with the honey. Bake for 30 minutes until the flavor of the honey infuses into the plums and they soften.
  • Serve and decorate with star anise and grated coconut.
