Rum and Chocolate Truffles

Stop buying truffles, make them yourself with this chocolate truffle recipe that has a hint of rum that makes them exquisite.

  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cocoa
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 3 tablespoons rum
  • cocoa
  • powdered sugar
  • nuts
  • rainbow sprinkles

  • Melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan and add the cocoa and sweetened condensed milk, cooking for 4 minutes until the mixture resembles soft pudding.
  • Remove from heat and add the vanilla and rum.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours until the mixture is firm.
  • Roll small balls with clean hands and coat them in cocoa, nuts, powdered sugar, or colorful sprinkles.
  • Refrigerate them for another hour and you're done!!!!
