Seed Bars

You will relive your childhood by preparing these seed bars, a typical Mexican sweet that few can resist. These seed bars are the perfect snack to take anywhere and can be shared with your friends on a Mexican night. Don’t miss out!

  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 cups pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cups sunflower seeds
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cups water

  • In a skillet over medium heat, toast the peanuts, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds until they release their aroma. Set aside.
  • In a small pot over medium heat, heat the sugar with water without stirring, let cook until you obtain an amber-colored caramel.
  • Add the seeds to the caramel and mix very well until integrated.
  • Pour onto a silicone mat and let cool for 20 minutes or until hardened. Wrap in colored tissue paper and enjoy.
