With this recipe, you can prepare your own special Christmas Rompope for Posadas; it tastes delicious and everyone will love it. Rompope is an egg-based liqueur drink made with egg yolks, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Soak the almonds in boiling water and peel them, then blend them with milk until there are no lumps.
Boil the milk, add the sugar and blended almonds. Keep stirring with a wooden spoon until it thickens a bit. Remove from heat.
Combine the egg yolks with the rum and gradually add them while continuously whisking until they incorporate into the milk. Wait for it to cool, then pour it into a glass bottle.
