Spider sandwich

Prepare these fun and delicious spider savvies, stuffed with a creamy homemade peanut butter and rich raspberry jam. Add the pretzels so that you simulate the spider legs and your children have a fun lunch.

  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons Great Value® granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch Great Value® plain salt
  • 2 tablespoons soybean oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 20 white breads
  • 1 cup raspberry jam
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks
  • 1/4 cups bittersweet chocolate, melted

  • In a pan over low heat, toast the peanuts, until they have a golden color.
  • In a food processor place the peanuts, sugar, sunflower oil, vanilla essence and process until you get the peanut butter.
  • Using a cutter cut the bread into circles and add a little peanut butter, raspberry jam and place another piece of bread on top.
  • Embed the pretzel sticks at the ends of the bread to form their legs. With the help of a toothpick shape the eyes with chocolate, let dry and enjoy.
