Strawberry Tiramisu

Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert that now comes with a twist! Prepare this strawberry tiramisu at home and make everyone fall in love with its delish flavor!   • 4 egg whites, for the ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cups sugar, for the ladyfingers
  • 4 egg yolks, for the ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cups sugar, for the ladyfingers
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, for the ladyfingers
  • 1 cup flour, for the ladyfingers
  • 2 cups strawberries, cut into small-sized cubes
  • 1/2 cups Licor 43, for the strawberries
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime, zest
  • cocoa, for garnish

  • leaves peppermint, for garnish

  • For the ladyfingers: In a bowl, mix egg whites and sugar to stiff peaks. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla essence until they turn color.
  • Pour egg white mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Add sifted flour and fold into the previous mixture. Transfer batter to a piping bag with a nozzle.
  • On a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, form ladyfingers and bake for 15 minutes at 374 ºF. Let cool and set aside.
  • In a bowl, add Licor 43 and strawberries. Let marinate for 30 minutes. Set aside.
  • For the filling: Using a whisk, mix mascarpone cheese, icing sugar, sour cream, and lime zest until completely incorporated. Set aside.
  • Line a stainless steel-square cake pan with acetate to keep strawberry tiramisu from sticking to the sides. Place a layer of ladyfingers and top with a layer of filling and a layer of strawberries. Repeat until all the ingredients are used up and the cake pan is full. Freeze for 2 hours.
  • Sprinkle strawberry tiramisu with cocoa and garnish with strawberries and mint leaves.
