These biscuits are a blend of slightly sweet and salty bread, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, literally melting in your mouth; they have a special fruity touch from Leche Alpura®.
For the dough, in a bowl mix the flour, baking soda, nutmeg, and butter, mix with your hands until the texture is sandy, add the egg yolks and Leche Alpura® strawberry flavor, incorporate again without overworking. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes so that you can work with it.
Sprinkle a little flour on a surface and roll out the dough without overworking it, do this in one go; cut with the help of a ring or cutter of approximately 8 cm in diameter.
Place the biscuits on a previously greased baking sheet or lined with parchment paper, leaving a 3 cm space between them, brush with egg whites (slightly beaten) and sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake at 180°C for 25 min, remove from the oven and cool at room temperature.
For the filling, add cream cheese, Leche Alpura® strawberry flavor to a bowl, and mix until combined, add a drop of pink food coloring and mix well.
Cut the biscuits in half and fill with strawberry cream and pieces of fresh strawberries.
