Preheat the oven to 180 degrees with the grid in the middle.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and cream of tartar.
With an electric
mixer
, beat the butter with 1 1/2 cups of sugar at medium speed until fluffy and light yellow, about 3 minutes.
With a spatula, lower what has been stuck to the edges.
Beat the eggs with the sugar mixture little by little, until they mix well, about 2 minutes.
With the
mixer
in low speed, gradually add the flour mixture until it is incorporated, about 30 seconds.
In another small bowl, mix the cinnamon with the 1/4 cup of remaining sugar.
With a spoon, take spoonfuls of the prepared dough and cover with the mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
Place the balls already covered in a greased baking sheet, separated from each other by at least 8 cms.
Continue making the dough balls and passing them through the cinnamon mixture until finished.
Bake until golden brown on the edges and remain soft in the center, about 15-18 minutes.
Let the cookies cool for 1 minute on the tray. Then pass them to a cooling rack.
Enjoy with a coffee, tea or glass of milk.
