Sugar and Vanilla Cookies

Crunchy sugar cookies that melt in your mouth and are a good accompaniment with a cappuccino

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, Royal
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, big
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cups sugar

  • We need a tray of cookies that do not have borders so cookies can cook quickly and retain their shape.
  • Heat the oven to 350ºF and put the oven rack in the middle. The butter has to be at room temperature.
  • In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Using a blender mix butter and sugar.
  • It should be a light and fluffy paste, add the egg and vanilla, beating for 2 more minutes.
  • With the mixer at the lowest speed, add the dry ingredients, beat for 30 seconds until well blended.
  • Put the sugar to sprinkle on a plate. With a spoon go making pasta balls and putting them on the plate. Cover well with sugar.
  • Put the sugar-coated balls on the ungreased tray leaving 10 cm of space between them.
  • Bake until the cookies are golden and soft in the center. For 15 or 18 minutes. Allow to cool for one minute on the tray and transfer to a rack to cool.
