It is a typical dessert from my country, commonly known as Rice with Milk; however, we Northerners call it Sweet Rice. I hope you like it Dominican style.
Put coconut milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, lemon zest, and rice in a saucepan to boil over medium heat. Stir constantly.
When it comes to a boil, add the cow's milk and continue stirring. Let it cook over medium heat.
Add evaporated milk and stir, add raisins (optional) and stir. Lower the heat and let it cook for 15 minutes or until it is a little dry, depending on each person's taste.
Remove from heat, let cool and serve in cups or mugs. It can be served warm or cold, cut the cinnamon sticks for decoration.
