Churro wafers with pastry cream

Churros are one of the most popular desserts in Mexico, however, this delight is not Mexican. The history and origin of this sweetness is very ancient, as it is believed that the Chinese fried strips of dough.   • 1 box Tres Estrellas® churros mix
  • 2 1/2 cups water, boiling
  • oil
  • sugar
  • cinnamon
  • 250 milliliters milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 envelope Atole Tres Estrellas® vanilla flavor
  • 125 grams sugar
  • 20 grams unsalted butter

  • Place the Tres Estrellas® Churro Flour in a bowl, pour the boiling water in a steady stream and mix until combined. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag. Set aside.
  • Line the ice cream cones with aluminum foil, using the piping bag cover the entire cone starting from the bottom up, freeze for 30 min. Set aside.
  • Fry the churro cones in a pot with enough oil at high temperature for 3 minutes or until they are ready. Drain and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  • Mix the milk, egg, Tres Estrellas® vanilla flavor Atole, and sugar in a pot. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes or until thickened, add the butter and combine. Fill the wafers with pastry cream using a piping tip and enjoy.
