Gorditas de Nata Filled with Dulce de Leche

These filled gorditas de nata are a very Mexican and delicious dessert that does not require an oven, as they are made on a griddle. The delicious milk filling makes them special, and a rich coffee de olla complements them very well. You will love them!

  • 3 1/2 cups flour, for the gorditas
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder, for the gorditas
  • 1 cup sugar, for the gorditas
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder, for the gorditas
  • 2 San Juan® eggs, for the gorditas
  • 1 cup clotted cream, for the gorditas
  • wheat flour, for rolling out
  • 10 Glorias, for filling

  • In a bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, sugar, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Add the pieces of Huevo San Juan®, the cream, and knead until you have a smooth and homogeneous consistency. Place in a bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Slightly flatten the glorias with your hands to make them thinner. Set aside.
  • Form the gorditas with your hands and fill them with the dulce de leche glorias.
  • In a griddle over low heat, cook the gorditas for 5 minutes on each side. Set aside.
  • Serve with a coffee de olla.
