Nutritious Bars

The classic energy bars from the store but made at home with lots of love. Prepare this delicious recipe for nutritious bars and send all the flavor of mom to your kids.

  • 125 grams coconut oil
  • 100 milliliters honey
  • 60 grams raw sugar
  • 120 grams seedless prune
  • 100 grams walnuts
  • 125 grams oats, in flakes
  • 150 grams whole-wheat flour
  • 2 apples
  • 15 milliliters lime juice

  • Place the melted coconut oil in a bowl, add the honey, brown sugar, pitted plums cut into pieces, or other dried fruit. Mix well.
  • Add the chopped nuts, oats, and then add the flour that will give consistency to the mixture.
  • Incorporate the grated green apples without the skin. Another option could be to add grated carrots or sweet pumpkin. To enhance the flavor of the apple, add a little lemon juice.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased tray with margarine. Bake in the oven at 160° for 30 to 35 minutes. The preparation will be ready when it starts to pull away from the edges of the mold or when a toothpick inserted comes out clean and dry.
  • Remove from the oven, unmold, and mark the bars with a knife. Allow to cool and cut.
