90 grams butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup almonds, toasted and ground
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt
1/2 cups almonds, whole
1 tablespoon almond essence
1 tablespoon vanilla essence

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and beat the softened butter with the sugar.
Add the eggs one by one until they fluff up a bit, then add the almond and vanilla extracts.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt.
Combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) with the bowl containing the eggs and extracts, and beat on low speed.
Add the toasted ground almonds to the mixture.
Bake for 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean and the texture is soft but firm.
Unmold, let cool, and decorate with whole almonds.
