  • 4 bolillo rolls
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 jar maple syrup
  • 1 jar honey
  • vegetable oil

  • The bolillo bread or sandwich bread should preferably be one day old, sliced into portions of 2 to 3 cm wide.
  • The egg whites are beaten until stiff peaks form and then the yolks are added. Each slice is dipped and well soaked.
  • In hot oil, the slices soaked in egg are fried until golden brown and cooked through.
  • They are drained perfectly on paper towels.
  • They are placed on a platter and drizzled with honey for finger-licking goodness.
