Traditional Jericalla

Dessert originating in Guadalajara, prepared with egg yolks and sugar. It is a delight that you can now prepare at home and have at your table the rich and traditional flavor of this Mexican dessert.

  • 4 cups cow's milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

  • Preheat oven to 160 ° C.
  • Dissolve corn starch in milk, boil with cinnamon and sugar; let cool and remove the cinnamon.
  • When the milk is cold, add the yolks and mix everything with a grinder.
  • Empty in individual refractory molds. Place the molds on a treat with water in a bain-marie.
  • Bake everything until it weighs and browns.
