Two Chocolate Cake

A rich dark chocolate cake filled with white chocolate.

  • 2 cups semi-dark chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • whole-wheat pasta, FOR THE FROSTING
  • 3/4 cups unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cups margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 6 cups icing sugar
  • 1/3 cups cow's milk
  • 200 grams white chocolate

  • Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Grease two round cake pans with vegetable spray.
  • Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips with the butter in the microwave. Mix until the chocolate is completely melted. Pour into a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the sugar and beat with an electric mixer. Add the eggs and vanilla and continue beating. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix well. Add the water and the remaining cup of chocolate chips and finish mixing.
  • Pour the mixture into the baking pans and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
  • While the cake is baking, prepare the filling. In a deep bowl, beat the butter and margarine until fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla and mix. Add the sugar and beat well.
  • Add the milk and beat until the filling is fluffy.
  • Divide the frosting into two parts and add the white chocolate to one part, mixing well.
  • Take one cake and cover it with the white chocolate filling, place the other cake on top, and decorate with the butter and vanilla frosting.
