Vanilla Cream

  • 2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C
  • Heat the milk with the cinnamon in a small pot over medium heat. Set aside.
  • Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract until they slightly change color.
  • Gradually add the hot milk to the egg yolks, return the mixture to the heat, and cook, stirring constantly, until it has a creamy and thick consistency.
  • Pour the mixture into tart molds and let cool.
  • Place on a baking tray, sprinkle a little sugar, and bake for 10 minutes to caramelize.
