Vegan Chocolate Truffles

Prepare this quick recipe for vegan chocolate truffles; these little desserts are very easy to make and also healthy. These truffles are made with dates that provide the perfect sweetness, and the toasted almonds combined with cocoa powder make the perfect combination.

  • 3/4 cups pitted dates
  • 1 cup almonds, sliced and toasted
  • 1/2 cups cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1/2 cups bittersweet chocolate, melted
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1 cup cocoa, to coat truffles

  • Add the dates, almonds, cocoa, agave syrup, and orange juice to the food processor, and process for 3 minutes until a dough forms.
  • Place the dough in a bowl and add the melted chocolate and orange zest, mix until the ingredients are combined, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze until the mixture thickens.
  • On a cutting board and with the help of a spoon, form balls of approximately 10 grams. Coat the truffles with cocoa powder.
  • Serve the truffles and enjoy.
