Viennese Chocolate Cake

  • 100 grams butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 120 grams semisweet chocolate
  • 200 grams walnuts
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons cow's milk
  • 1/4 cups icing sugar

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate over very low heat to prevent burning.
  • Meanwhile, place the sugar, walnuts (previously toasted), and eggs in the blender. Blend well and then add the milk, flour, baking powder, and the melted chocolate and butter mixture.
  • Grease and flour a round cake pan (about 28 cm in diameter) and fill it with the blender cake mixture.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. After removing it from the oven, wait 10 minutes and then unmold. Let it cool.
  • Before decorating with powdered sugar, flip the cake over so the smooth bottom side is on top. Dust with powdered sugar. It can be served with vanilla ice cream.
