Yogurt and Cream Gelatin

  • 1 liter plain yogurt
  • 1 liter sour cream 1 liter sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons natural unflavored gelatin
  • 250 milliliters water 250 milliliters water

  • 1/2 cups jam, of your choice for the topping

  • In a pot over medium heat, place the yogurt with the cream and mix with a spoon until combined.
  • Hydrate the gelatin in water at room temperature and let it sit for a few minutes until it sets.
  • Add the sugar to the yogurt and cream mixture until dissolved.
  • Dissolve the already hydrated gelatin in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Add the dissolved gelatin to the yogurt mixture and mix until combined.
  • Remove from heat and pour the mixture into small containers to share or your preferred one and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  • For the jam topping, in the blender add the selected jam in small pieces and add a bit of water and blend just to mash the fruit, so it becomes like pulp.
  • Pour the jam into a small pot over low heat
  • Add the sugar gradually until it turns into caramel.
  • Set aside and refrigerate.
