Guava Atole

Enjoy the sweet and slightly floral taste of guava with this delicious guava atole! This traditional guava atole is prepared with a flavorful combination of spices and features the sweet touch of piloncillo for a comforting drink that will keep you cozy during winter.

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 kilo guava
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 star anise pod
  • 1 piloncillo, 7 oz, cut into chunks
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in milk
  • 4 cups cow's milk

  • Heat water in a small pot. Add guavas, cinnamon, star anise pod, and piloncillo. Cook until guavas are soft and spices release their aroma. Remove from heat. Cool and set aside.
  • Transfer previous preparation to a T-fal® InfinyForce blender. Blend using the blending setting. Strain.
  • Transfer blended preparation to a pot. Add previously dissolved cornstarch. Bring guava atole to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
