  • Boil enough water in a pot over medium heat, add the chicken pieces and cook for 30 minutes or until the chicken is tender. Remove the chicken pieces and reserve the broth. Then, cut the chicken into medium pieces. On the other hand, the scraps will only provide flavor and nutrients to the preparation, so it is not necessary to keep them.
  • Cook the rice with 3 cups of water for at least 18 minutes over medium-low heat. Remember to cover the pot and use a non-stick saucepan to avoid using oil. Once the rice is cooked, set aside.
  • Cook the broccoli, carrot, and pumpkin in a pot with hot water for at least 6 minutes. Once the vegetables are slightly soft, drain and set aside.
  • Process the chicken together with the broccoli, carrot, pumpkin, lettuce, spinach, and oats. Once you have small pieces, place them in a bowl and mix with the rice you reserved.
  • Now divide the homemade dog food into portions and store in airtight bags, don't forget to add between one and two cups of the reserved broth. Also, remember that the portion will depend on the size and breed of your dog, so it will be necessary to consult with the veterinarian. Freeze each portion and whenever you feed your pet, just heat the food a little and you're done!
