Homemade Lasagna

If you love lasagna but find it tedious to cook or think it's too complicated, with this simple homemade lasagna recipe, you'll want to make it every day.

  • olive oil
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 kilo ground meat
  • 1 cup carrot, in small cubes
  • 1/2 cups celery, in small cubes
  • salt

  • 1 tablespoon basil, dry
  • 2 cups tomato sauce, ready to use
  • 1 package lasagna sheets
  • water, to cook the pasta

  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon basil, dry
  • 2 cups Manchego cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • basil, leaves, for garnish

  • Heat the oil in a pot, fry the onion and garlic for 5 minutes. Add the ground meat and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add the carrot and celery, mix, and add the tomato sauce. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and basil. Set aside.
  • Heat the water with the oil and salt. When it boils, you should add the pasta and cook for 2 minutes, just until it softens. Remove and drain.
  • In a baking dish, add a layer of pasta, cover with 4 tablespoons of the meat sauce. Cover the meat with 2 tablespoons of cream and cheese. Repeat these steps until you reach the top of the dish and finish with cream and cheese. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C, the dish should be covered with aluminum foil. Cook without foil for another 5 minutes at 200 °C.
  • Serve in the same dish and garnish with basil leaves.
