How to make cream cheese?

  • 1 liter whole milk
  • 1 lime
  • salt
  • toast, for accompaniment

  • Heat the milk in a pot over low heat for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add the lemon juice. Let it rest for 30 minutes so the whey separates from the milk.
  • Place a strainer and a cheesecloth over a bowl, pour everything from the pot.
  • Let it drain very well and with the help of your hands, remove all the excess liquid, leaving only the solid part.
  • Blend with the help of a processor or hand blender until you have a smooth and creamy consistency. Season with salt and place in a sterilized glass container.
  • Enjoy on toasted bread
