Mac and Cheese Ring

  • 1/4 cups butter, in medium cubes
  • 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Gouda cheese, grated
  • 1 cup liquid yellow cheese
  • 4 cups elbow pasta, cooked
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, ground
  • 1/2 cups parsley, finely chopped

  • Heat the butter in a pot over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1 more minute. When it changes slightly in color, pour in the milk and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  • Incorporate the cheeses, salt, and pepper and mix. Let it melt, add the elbow macaroni, and mix very well.
  • Transfer the macaroni to a silicone ring mold, previously greased with butter. Bake at 180 °C for 15 minutes.
  • Place the ring on a baking sheet and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Bake at 180 °C for 10 more minutes.
  • Serve the mac and cheese ring on a flat plate.
