Tuna Oriental Tacos

For poke tuna lovers, this recipe is ideal because thanks to Freshly by EVA® Romaine Lettuce, we create delicious oriental tacos.

  • 1 cup sushi rice, soaked and drained
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 500 grams tuna, in small cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 avocados, in small cubes
  • 1/2 cucumbers, in small cubes
  • chives, finely chopped
  • EVA® Freshly Romaine lettuce
  • black sesame seeds, for garnish
  • chipotle mayonnaise, for garnish

  • In a bowl, mix the salt, sugar, and rice vinegar. Set aside.
  • In a pot, cook the rice for 15 minutes. Add the mixture from the previous step of vinegar with salt and sugar, mix, and set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix the tuna with the soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, lime juice, and sugar. Let it marinate for 30 minutes covered and refrigerated.
  • Place several leaves of Freshly by EVA® Romaine Lettuce and on top a tablespoon of rice, then a tablespoon of tuna, and add the small cubes of cucumber, avocado, and green onion.
  • Place the oriental tacos on a large plate and garnish with black sesame seeds. Serve with chipotle mayonnaise dressing.
